2004 TT Cab
Well, I just picked up my car at the dealer, I was getting its first oil change. Needless to say I ran into the salesmen who sold me my car last month. He informed me that in Sept the C4S and the 996TT will debut as a cab and will go into production in Oct/Nov. Will hit the U.S. shores sometime in March/April time frame. They have already taken 10 orders for the new 996TT Cabriolet in the Miami Dealer and they are going fast as the word gets out . Base Price 132,000.00 and you can order the PCCB (brakes) for an extra 8K. Gauges come not only in Std Black but optional Aluminum. But as a 2004 option you can order Yellow, White, Green, Red and Blue. NO longer will Porsche manufacture replacement Gauge faces. If you want to change the color of the instrument panel you need to replace the whole unit ($1495.00) and your title will reflect car as a Speedo change. "Bummer". The new Cab will also sport wider rims and tires 35's in the front and 25's in the rear. Also the X-50 power package will be increased another 20 HP. Well, that the latest and greatest directly from the dealer 2004 996TT build guide, I wanted to make copies but he would not let me.

My salesman told me today that the 996TT Cab will be offically announced by PAG next month. They did the C4S Cab announcement a couple of days ago. He told me that he expects to have both models in stock by this Fall.

I was at the Porsche factory in Stuttgart last wednesday on a factory tour (after driving Spa in my 993 RS) and I saw lots of 996 Turbo Cabriolets coming out of the production line and waiting in the testing areas, for delivery.
There were some US spec Trurbo Cabs, I think, since they had a higher ride height and were white (almost all white Porsches are for USA).
