Europipe 2 Quiet Version Installed
I have had the Europipe 2 Quiet version (thanks CJV! ) installed for about two weeks now and just did an Autocross with the system.
I will add my voice to other satisfied customers by saying I am very impressed with the system. The quality of fabrication is good and the sound is just right for my tin eardrums. There is no cabin resonance and the seat of the pants likes the more open feel of the motor. By that I mean with the Europipe and the BMC filter the car seems to breathe better (I've noticed this in other cars I've done with after market intake and exhaust work). The revs seem to come a little easier and the motor likes to perk up just that much quicker. As a "for instance" it seems easier now to heel and toe on downshifts to match revs.
I had it installed at "By Design" in Los Angeles. My experience with them was excellent, no pressure and Matt is an enthusiast who has a TT and has experimented with a number of performance and appearence mods himself. I was in their shop for about 3 hours or so and then on my way.
Now, if I could just catch those darn little RS look-a-likes on the Autocross!
PS with 11,900 miles I still have some tread on my Pirelli's but the rubber has been heat cycled to feel like wood! I have a set of Michelin Sport Cups for the rear and I'm going to get a front set and install them soon. After the Autocross I found out my cold temperatures were 40 psig and 42 psig!

Burning Brakes
Glad to have you join the Europipe ranks! Enjoy! I share your opinion regarding your "breathing easier" comments. A really good analogy to try and put into words the "breathing easier" perception is to imagine a spring under your gas pedal. In the stock system, it was a stiff spring, as if you and the engine were working harder to expel the exhaust gases. The spring just got lighter!
Please don't think I am whacked for this analogy, after all, it is AN ANALOGY!!!

I agree with both Garey and Ken -- the EP Stage 2 did make heel and toe shifting easier for me too. Throttle response also improved and the car definitely does rev smoother/easier.

KPV, I don't think you're "whacked" at all. It is sometimes hard to express a qualitative issue like response, that is to give something that has "feel" a dimension is difficult.
Hey Jack, I thought you had the Ruf?

I did have the RUF and loved it. Now I have the EP Stage 2--Loud and love it.
I decided I wanted to try more volume -- you know how it is when you've got the "mod" disease.

I am on the verge of ordering a Europipe, thanks to Chad's feedback. However, is there any reason why I wouldn't want a 85mm version (other than they aren't making any more)? I.E. If the sound is unmatched by the smaller versions, and what we all are really trying to get out of the exhaust is sound, why not get the 85mm version? Is there any performance hit by getting such a "breathing" exhaust? If there is no performance penalty, would it be worth trying to get a group buy going to convince Stef at Europipe to fabricate some of these?
