Post place for subwoofer?

I am looking to add a subwoofer to my stereo and am looking for some advice for a location for putting the subwoofer. I have seen some people installing the woofer under the rear seat area but my stereo shop told me that is the car body and should not be cut. Any advice? Pics would be GREAT! Thanks.

you need to specify if you have a cab or coupe. That would help. most people put a box in behind the rear seats in a coup. On a cab some delete the rear seats and make boxes, whilest others put a sub in the floor in the passenger area.

Two 8" subs behind the rear seat.

I have a 2002 turbo and had a box built behind the seats that contains 3 JL Audio 8" subwoofers. I can still use the rear seats as well. Tons of bass and no loss of rear seats!

I too still have the use of the backseats. The box is friction fit behind the rear seats.

I don't have any pictures but I could probably take one with a digital camera. It really looks sweet as the box is painted guards red which matches my center console, HVAC surround, interior light surround and the exterior of the car. It really ties everything together in the inside.

The stereo installer painted all those pieces they were black from the factory.
