Jack...

What kind of seats are those your friend has... Can't quite tell by looking if they are stock GT3 seats in tan.

Jack,

I was always curious about that 11.89. If I start from 30 MPH or so, I've been as fast or faster than cars running 11.2. I think without the variable valve timing, the 993 Turbo R is a bit slow at low RPM. However, once going (i.e., over 30 MPH), I think it might be as fast as a Ruf 996 R Turbo. I'd love to find this out, since I'd buy the 996 R Turbo if it accelerated much faster than the 993 Turbo R. I've measured my Turbo R from 60 to 100 MPH in fourth gear at 3.7 seconds with a 40 MPH running start. Does anyone have any comparison numbers for 60 to 100 on their cars?

From what I saw yesterday, they were the GT3 seats.

One of our PCA members showed up to a recent DE in his new Ruf Turbo. Thought you might like to see one in Gulf Blue. Note the changing room on the left for those with weak spinkter muscles

Bill: I don't have any comparison numbers for you, but I'm sure your 993 Turbo R will hold it's own against any Ruf 996 variant. Looking forward to meeting you at Rob's next event in December. We'll have to do some more "drags" at WS. Amir may even show up with a surprise entry this time.

Jack,

If I were to guess on Amir, I'd say he added either larger turbos or bought a Ruf R Turbo. The "drags" are always fun. My wife offered to take some video from above this time.
