Many of you on this and other forums have stated that the Tubi exhaust has no real performance gains even though they use racing cats.
Out of curiosity, has anyone dynoed a car with no major mods other than a tubi exhaust? I am asking because I need to make my exhaust decision very soon!! (I hate these tough choices).
Although I am more interested in sound than performance, an ECU tune requires a high flow exhaust and so I wanted any data before I buy.

I have a Europipe coming in for a friend. You may check it out if you like. General consensus in order of best performance is: 1)Europipe, 2)Ruf, 3)all the rest.
Sound level is another story, very subjective. Europipe and Ruf do not resonate or give you a headache after 1 hour of driving like some of the others.

LanceK - I think they do. The importer for Tubi's Porsche line is Champion Motors down in FL (www.champion-motors.com). Also, if you check Tubi's website (www.tubistyle.it) it says that yes, there is an exhaust for the 996.

msindi,
I strongly suggest you look at David's systems (Cobra06 on rennlist). He produces some awesome semi-custom exhausts based on modified OEM exhaust platform. I have his version 8 system and it rocks!! His price is only around $1500...this sure beats Tubi at over $3500. His website is www.turbo-exhaust.com
FWIW, there was a guy about a month ago that sold a used 996TT Tubi system on Ebay for about $2100.

Thanx Trojan MAn - I did not know Cobra06 owned that exhaust company - he is very knowledgable and helpful so I will PM him about this.
Also, I know of the tubi that sold on ebay. However, Tubi changed some of the things on their exhaust (internals) from their 2002 model to their 2003! Also, I think the guy sold his on ebay because he was getting rid of the car not because the tubi had a peroblem.
If it was not for the IMO ugly tips on the Tubi this decision would have been easy as it sounds really sweet! I prefer the X54 tips though.

With B&B headers and Tubi exhaust dyno only...gave extra 15bhp at flywheel from reading above stock dyno. Dont have real dyno run example for just the exhaust....hope this helps
