tranny clunk with 1st-2nd shift
I've had my 03tt for about 4 days now. When I shift from 1st to 2nd gear I sometimes hear a mild ,heavy transmission clunk. Is this normal, is it my technique, should I ask the dealer to take a look. thanks

Don't know, but here is a little technique I learned at the PDE, and I've been driving sticks all my life. It may be worthwhile to try it
When shifting from 1-2 don't make it one motion, hesitate in neutral slightly (just slightly)and then complete the shift. It's much smoother.
Also on the track, from 2-3, the same technique but applied a little differently, let the lever return to its natural position, and then straight up into 3. This prevents hurrying which is the most common cause of missed shifts.
Again the motions don't need to be magnified, we're just talking milli-seconds.
Hope this helps.
