I will go to watch, but am still undecided on the day. I would ideally like to go to the day where the Rennlist crowd is there so we can put faces with the names and shoot the **** with each other.

BOOOOOOOO
but, you guys are doing the right thing. Things always go wrong w/ the first drives and it's better to fix them and take your time to do it all correctly.

The shoot out without CJV is like doing Hamlet without Hamlet! No offense to Wilber or the others -- It is just now someone will win and then we'll have to spend months posting about is CJV's car really faster...
And where is George and the Swamp Monster?

The fastest of all porsches in the USA was not invited, I wonder why? I feel hands down without the spray I would have the field covered. I'll just go find a viper or maybe a Z06 and just bust a$$ today.

Wilber just picked up his car today after having lunch with myself, watt, and Mike Schatz.
I just gave him a call and he says that his car is now plain insane... even more than before.
Apparently he got hit up by a 996TT X50 on the way back home and by the time he looked in his rear view mirror, he couldn't even see the X50's headlights anymore <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[bigbye]" title="" src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" />
The X50 driver apparently wasn't too happy about getting his *** kicked.
Now THAT'S FAST!!!
I hope he will make it to the shootout.

Duane, it is possible that he could have just seen the X54 tips and thought it was an X50.
Whether or not it was really an X50 or not, I don't doubt that his car could smoke an X50 just as easily, having driven it myself.
At the Streets of Willow, the last straightaway is probably a quarter mile long or less, and coming out of the last turn, I could reel in 996TT's like they were standing still and still have plenty of time for the braking point on Turn 1.
I also witnessed his drag race versus an FVD Stage 3 540hp car and within a quarter mile, he was ahead by about 10 car lengths and kept pulling.
You can ask cjv what he has heard, but I think wilber has one of the fastest 996TT on the west coast. As for dyno charts, you should ask wilber directly, but supposedly Protomotive dyno'd his car at 700fwhp+ after recently tinkering with his car. With something like 510hp just to the rear wheels on a 2WD dyno. So it would seem 700hp seems right.
Next time you are out on the west coast with your 996TT for Gumball or Player's Run, come out for an extra day and see if Wilber will race your modded X50. Who cares about dyno hp, it's actual performance that counts, right?

Three Wheelin'
I'm sure Wilburs car is fast, not sure exactly <img border="0" alt="[icon501]" title="" src="graemlins/icon501.gif" /> how fast Wilburs car is, but I can attest it's not your generic chip, turbo, exhaust set up. <img border="0" alt="[icon107]" title="" src="graemlins/icon107.gif" />
