I just checked on the http://www.miniusa.com site and found out my MINI has been built and is awaiting transport to the US. Cool!
Now I just have to get that John Cooper Works Package to bump the output to 205 horsepower.
It will look like this:

powder coated rear calipers+Brembo rotors, 18" kinesis wheels,
driving lights,
John Cooper works kit next week,
GT3 seats later maybe.

my goal is to build the best looking Mini out there, and...

KPV, I have had my Mini for about two weeks now. I don't have a digital camera yet so I am waiting for the film to be developed. Your car should be at the dealer in about a month. Here is a picture of what my car looks like, and once I get the pictures I will post a new topic for you will all the details of the trip from Texas to San Diego. KPV on the Mini website does it have the ETA yet? It shoud be under the Order Review or something like that.

20C4S,
I fully realize the customization curse that goes along with MINI ownership. And by the way, for the record, I am going to have the best looking MINI out there!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
The good thing about the MINI is that customization parts are not as costly as with the 996's. So, although it is a money pit of sorts, at least the pit is not too deep in comparison!!
Chris Y,
I have re-thought the wheel thing. 20C4S is correct, the silver car's wheels are Kahn RS-R's in size 18x7.5. Originally, I was going to pay the dealer to upgrade to the wheels to those in the Italian Job. That would have been about $1,600. For that amount, I decided to go aftermarket and get exactly what I want. At the time, I liked the Kahn's. I have changed my mind recently and I have decided on the following Konig wheels:

David,
I have gone into Owner's Lounge, but can't seem to find the ETA. Any advice?

The wheels on the red car are Konig Tantrum 2 in size 18x7.5 with a four bolt pattern and 45mm offset and 100mm cc of lug bolts. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced dealer where I can get these? The lowest price I could find is $600/wheel. Although that is a great price in 996TT terms, it sucks in MINI terms. Most MINI rims go from $150-$350. The Tantrums happen to be 3 piece with a polished lip.
