tell this to your goverment: it is not Porsch it is teh uS laws that requires to crash so many cars. Porsche can not makes so many cars just to crash them the ycan hardly build teh cup car for racing and the 200 Gt3 RS are just for the homologation not for sale and make money.
Anyway it is not a big diference with the GT3. The engine is the same and the carbon hood or the wing can be bought through a race team (or through me)
The same for the race suspension parts. it is all from teh cup cars.
the RS m is closer to a cup car than a GT3 but has nothing common with the race GT3RS

According to this article the only difference between the RS and clubsport GT3 is 50 pounds (from CF hood, wing, mirrors, and acrylic rear window) and firmed up springs and dampers.

Seems to me we've had the Supercup series for a while and several GT3RS race cars running.

The organisator from the FIA GT and the Le Mans guys try to make a new race serie and Porsche want (I hope) to race there. You need at least 200 cars to race in this serie so they must build teh car.
Also they may enter with a bigger car (like GT2 or Carrera GT) so we will finaly see some Porsche kicking some a......s
I plan to go to weissach in 2 weeks. let see if I can get some more infos.

Three Carrera GT prototypes were at Gaudin Porsche this past weekend for summer heat testing. They were repeatedly changing thermostats. one of the german engineers named Helmut told us that the GT 3 RS is coming to america and will have more HP then the normal GT3. Helmut told us he has worked for Porsche for 34 years and is assigned to the engine program, He told us in response to the question of how Porsche underrates its HP that the Carrera GT is closer to 625 HP. And is slower then their test enzo in a straight line. But outbraked the enzo and lapped the test track in less time then the enzo. he would not tell us the actual HP of a GT 2 or tell us about the 04 GT 2 no matter how many times we asked.

Watt, have you spoken to your friends at PCNA to see if the civilian GT3-RS is coming to the U.S. or not?
If it's not, I'm importing those parts to swap on to my GT3. Especially that rear wing! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

when Porshce gives a HP number for cars like teh GT3 cup or C GT etc it is the minimum HP number than the car will deliver. This is not the case with the common street cars where a + or - 7% can be seen.
So be sure that a C GT can have about 7% more HP than advertised.(this is the max)
we had at least 6,7% more HP on all our cup cars in the last three years and the same was with the 993 Cup cars. they were 3% higher.
I do not thgink anyone will complain in a C GT for not enough HP. This wa steh case in the first GT3. Strange that Porsche denied this bud we alread knew the problem (an the solution) some of them had only 340 HP. Porsche said this is within the tolerance of 75 and denied to take the car back and give a new one to the customer.

I am wondering how they can get a TUV certification for this.

This contradicts what I was told at the Porsche factory, by Porsche themselves. When we were at the engine dyno rooms, after seeing engines being built, they stated that after each engine was built (which takes 2 hours), the engines were dynoed immediately for 36 minutes. The engine was required to make at least the quoted bhp and up to 5% more. If the engine failed to meet the quoted bhp by even 1 bhp, or made more than 5% more, then it was stripped for review and rebuild. They stated that all engines delivered to customers therefore made between 100% and 105% of stated power. Of course this will likely rise once the engine has a few thousand miles on it and the components have bedded in.
Note, this is different from the standard required by legislation in most countries which commonly allow a tolerance each way......
