Post Insurance

Hello All,
I will be taking delivery of a new Turbo at the end of the month. Do any of you have any recomendations regarding insurance carriers that I should check out? I know that it won't be cheap, but I would be interested in any companies that would be reasonable with their rates. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the help!

Wink

I am 31 years old with a perfect driving record and my 02 TT gets a multiple vehicle discount. I was quoted over $4K with $1K deductable. I might be getting a bum deal. Does this sound high to anyone else? Maybe due to my age?

Thanks for the replies, Andreas and Truble.

I have been doing some "surfing" and have come up with a number of companies that insure exotic and classic cars. But, the annual mileage allowed is usually low (2500-5000)and since I hope to spend more than 5000 miles in the left seat, this will not work for me.

I did find a link to a local MI Insurance company and they quoted me $1151.82 (6 mos) with a $1000.00 deductable. The mileage "allowed" was 9000. I asked what would happen if you went over 9000 and he told me that it wouldn't matter as they didn't check odometers.

Also, I haven't done this yet but will be buying an umbrella policy that goes for about $200yr and provides a million dollar coverage. That seems cheap to me. Anyway, if anyone is interested, I will post what I find and finally end up buying.

Truble,

4K is high. I'm in Scottsdale, 37 years old and also have a multiple vehicle discount and clean record. My 02 TT is coming in July and Allstate quoted me $2200/year. I still plan to shop around and see if I can do better than that.

Hi Andreas
Yes in cal its cheaper, as I found out moving to
NH. In cal it was about $1500 with Gieco and I lived in Sanjose a city, then moved and to NH
in the woods pop 5K smal town and Gieco wanted
$2800, So I went to Progressive ins for $1800.
You definetly have to shop around, and some simply dont want to insure the TTs. Also found out with progressive that anything over 150K goes to a SPECIAL underwriting department. hint.If less than 150K than you pay less.So I tried to expalin to Gieco, how could it be double when I went from a high crime 1million pop city to the woods of NH pop 5K and the insurance goes up 2X give me a break. Amazing , "well sir it says so right here on my paper, thats what you have to pay. Another test of common sense.Want to pay alot call Gieco.
