2002 911 TT X50 .......Someone posted that a speed yellow X50 was available. I immediately contacted the dealer and three weeks later the beast has arrived. I had orginally ordered a 2002 non X50 in ferrari fly yellow which I cancelled when this came available.
As far as the car I love it. I put about 100 miles on it today and enjoyed everyone of them. So now for the $18000.00 question. Is there a major difference between this and a regular TT? The car is definatly faster than a regular TT. Having owned a regular TT this is what I can say so far. The power above 3500rpms is a little more raw than the regular TT. It reminds more of Mike Wilens Roock 540 I drove although its a tad slower. One of the best parts is the exhaust. I think it sounds kind of like a Ferrari. Thats the first thing that came to mind when I heard it. When I stopped by to show my friend at the local dealer the salesmanager who previously worked for Ferrari for 15 years thought is was a ferrari pulling up. Its hard to describe. but the exhaust actually quieter than the regular TT but its more throatier if thats a word. It does not have the gurgle that the regular TT has when you start it up. I can't say that its worth 18k but I love it and glad that I made the decision to do it.

Thanks VS.... Interior is pretty basic. Since this was a car that I did not order I have to ad alot of things myself. It has sport seats, deviating yellow stitching, speed yellow seatbelts....... I have alot of things planned in the next few weeks as far as mods.

Duane- congratulations. It looks great. I'll be interested in your impressions once you get thru the break-in. I kind of wonder if the factory rating of the horsepower might be a tad conservative. Keep us posted. AS

Hey Alex,
I will definataly keep all you guys posted. I agree that you that 450HP might be a bit conservitive. They would have alot of angry GT2 owners

I just bought a new Digital Camera that does MP3'S however I am not the most technical person so let me see what I can do. As far as describing it. It just sounds very good. Much more fuller sounding than the regular TT exhaust. I am not sure what the differences are as far as the exhaust goes since Porsche is being so secretive on what the X50 is and how they obtain the additional HP. I will be dyoning the car in June and will post the results when I get them.

Nice color well done!!I've had my X50 since Feb 15 and love it. I got the X50 liscence plate for NH, yaaa. Also you have to put the Fabspeed on it sounds great alot louder no more wondering if its on. Dont worry about the blue smoke it will go away about 15--miles. they all do it, but will do about a qaurt every 300- 500 miles for awhile.
But man wait till its broken in.
Something cool, guess what I looked at my boost and it just moved from .7 bar to .8 barI dont under full throttle and then .9 bar as soon as you lift. .1 bar more is the overboost, its normal.
I guess things have loosened but I wonder if Porsche put a program in that increases the boost after brake in since this increase happened right at 2500 miles hmm ,, something fishy but no complaints here. Wait til that thing is broken in and you drop from 6th at 80 mph tach too 4K rpm and the thing pins ya to 130 in a nano second well maybe alittle more, ha ha sorry eng vernacular.
This car still amazes me and I drive them hard, first car that has scared me in a long time, last one was a 500hp small block in a vega with 4.56 gears. This car simply is scary above 4500 rpms it builds expedeialy is the only way to describe the acceleration of rpms, its not linear.
good luck and buy a radar detector and keep your lawyers card you'll need it, when caught, its simply to tempting, hmm worth 180K yaaaa!!!!
Drive a lambo and youll see what I mean.
