Question Pedals

I have been comparing aftermarket pedal sets for the TT.
The Cargraphics Turbo pedals and the RUF pedals (with the little raised rubber nubs) appear the most appealing.
The RUF pedals appear to have a little lip on the left lower corner that may assist in heal toe maneuvers.
Does anyone have insight with these 2 sets that will help me decide?

BTW, you know life is pretty good when you are concerned with minutia like this!!

Thanks,

I just had the RUF pedals installed on my GT 2. They look great and function very well. Huge improvement over stock pedals.

Hey Craig,

How do like the Techart coilovers? How does it affect the ride and handling? How much are they and how much was installation?

Thanks,
jmmitias

I got the Cargraphic pedals. There is a thread I posted on this subject that has a bunch of pictures. Do a search for it (the thread was about three months ago).

I've got the RUF pedals, For me the rubber nubs made the difference. I was concerned about the grip/slip of my shoes to the pedals if they were strictly metal.

I love the Cargraphics pedals, no problem heel toeing at all in fact it has the right amount of grip and texture. No slipping at all even with wet soles!

I have found on some pedals with highly grooved or raised rubber points actually interferes with heel toeing especially if you roll your ankles and blip with the outside edge of your soles, when sliding your feet back over to the accelerator, sometimes would hang up a bit on the rubber or high points. <img src="graemlins/a_smil17.gif" border="0" alt="[blabla]" />

I once had the chance to take a picture of the 3 types of pedals mentioned in this thread.
Interesting to see how Techart and Ruf pedals have an identical shape.

jmmitias,

The Techart coilovers (and sway bars) are great. Big handling improvement over stock. The ride is definitely stiffer than stock, but an easy trade-off for the significantly improved handling.

I don't recall the price of the coilovers. They were more expensive than H&Rs. Approximately $4-5k (plus install). You can pay much more if you buy them through CEC. I got them from By Design -- Matt: (310) 559-9670.
