This is <img border="0" alt="[offtopic]" title="" src="graemlins/offtopic.gif" /> but since we're talking about these MB's. I have a Renntech CLK60. It was on the cover of April 2000 Motor Trend.

FWIW, a few stats on my S600:

Bone stock: 481 RWHP, 570 RWTQ, 12.45 @ 114.3 up at Sacto in 60F weather.
With RENNtech ECU and 275/40-18 Potenza S02A rear tires: 522 RWHP, 660 RWTQ, 11.99 @ 117.0 at the same 'strip in 62F weather.

I saw an 01 Merc E55 AMG out on Buttonwillow when I was with my pal and his M3. It wasn't a pretty sight at all... Weak brakes, heavy as heck, ****ty tires and so on... I've seen M5s do a-ok out there tho, so that sedan doesn't seem too bad.

&gt; I wonder why these porky sedans are never seen at the [roadcourse]

Same reason you never see people doing 600 mile, 4 people w/luggage road trips in their sports cars. It's the wrong tool for the job.
