Note that the Kumhos are not available yet in exact 18 inch sizes that match a 996 turbo.

Also note that I did not do a lap-time comparison between the Kumho and the OEM; it was just by feel from the 2 hillclimbs I did on the OEM Pirellis.

Again note that as best as I can tell even the 17 inch diameter Kumho sizes I use now are not available in the new compound, just the old.

Lastly, for autocross the Kumhos seem to hold their own with nationally competitive drivers (looking at results sheets). But that does not seem to be true at the local level on race track time trials. Not sure why since the autocross hoosier is supposed to be stickier than the road course hoosier. Could be camber rules in the various classes.

If you are a good driver and not on the clock and do not mind a bit of tire wear, drive it with the OEM tires.
