Pierre

I realize this isn’t you, but I just read this at fark.com and thought it was funny:

Police and Courts - March 27
March 27, 2003
BOULDER
Man marks milestone with champagne
A man arrested Wednesday on suspicion of drunken driving told police that he picked up a friend and a bottle of champagne to celebrate his Cadillac's 100,000th mile.
Scott Joseph Aberle, 39, of Longmont was arrested early Wednesday after police responded to a call that a man had driven away after crashing his Cadillac into a tree near 19th Street and Yarmouth Avenue in Boulder.
Police officers followed a trail of debris and vehicle fluids to a nearby trailer park, where they found Aberle with a bloody face, a police report said. The car, which sustained major front-end damage, was found on Lee Hill Drive.
Aberle told police he hit the tree because he checked on his dog in the back seat after dropping off his friend once the odometer had flipped over the 100,000-mile mark.

I am amazed with your projected distance of 348 KM to empty. The most I have ever had on a fill up on my 02 TT was 250 KM.

Hi Barry,

No, I didn't have champagne onboard... ha ha!...

250 km with a full tank?!... wow!... On long and boring highway drives at constant speed (135-140km/h), my fuel consumption can be as low as 9l/100km (26 mpg). If I refuel during such a trip, the projected distance can be as high as 500+ km. Of course, this drops quickly as soon as the road becomes more... huh... interesting! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
