Hi, just thought I'd stick mine in here as well...this is one of the ones I am working on right now...we are Esse Kurve and we're developing lots of custom aero/engine mods for the 996TT's. I will post more info soon...how about some feedback on the front integrated diffuser...it adds more than 25kg's of downforce for the front end-notorious for lift.
Have a great one!

Gentleman,
Quick question on the external appearance of your TT machines. In two of the above posts, specifically Duane from NY and Jack's, there are subtle differences in the air intakes both at the front and behind the doors.
Specifically a single, body colored, painted vein dividing the intakes. On the others, there are multiple black ribs at the front and an open intake behind the doors.
Is this a hallmark of the X50 package, or does it originate elsewhere?
I had a TT on order, then in the interim between deposit and delivery, got married and bought a big house. Temporarily herd some sanity in my wife's argument about more cars, let alone more Porsches. Fortunately, now that I am nearing my one year anniversary, those twinges of responsibility have faded.
The dealer called and there is a brand new 996TT due off the truck this week. I feel the need to adopt.
Before I melt down in front of the first one I can get hold of, I thought it might be a good idea to sort out what IO am really looking for.... Oh, damn. More responsible thinking again.

Both Jack and Duane have Techart side vent dividers. This is an after-market product sold by Techart. It has nothing to do with the X50 package (Neither Jack, nor Duane, have X50s).
Duane has a front and back GT2 body kit.
Jack has an front Aerokit -- offered through Porsche Tequipment.

What % tint have most people been using?
I am thinking about 50% for my rear and sides and 70% (legal tint in California) for my front windows (the lower the % the darker the tint; limo is 5%).
My car is black/black and I don't want it to look "gangster". Seems like most of the silver cars posted above have really dark windows.

Ibanez,
I just had my black/black TT windows tinted last Friday. I chose a 35% film. Depending on the light, it can look pretty translucent (when viewed straight on in indirect light) or darker (when viewed at an angle in direct sunlight). To be honest with you, I would prefer it to be slightly darker though I don't want it limo black either. I'll try to take a picture of it today so that you can see what 35% looks like. For my tastes, tinting does improve the 'look' of the car though.

On most high end cars I think tint sometimes ruins the car and makes it look like it is owned by a professional athlete or drug dealer(my CLK55 had enough factory tint that it did look a little dark without doing anything to it). However, on my TT, the windows are so "clear" that a black/black car looks a little funny. I am hoping the tint smooths out the overall look of the car. However, on a silver car I think any kind of tint looks good. With the clear bra and tint I am going to have a lot of plastic on the car! Looking forward to your pictures.

Duane has the Techart front bumper/spoiler and GT2 rear.
Jacks front spoiler is just stock, painted to match the car. There is difference in the angle of the spoiler.
This is what a factory Aerokit spoiler looks like-

WAM: The extra pieces on the front grille and side vent are TechArt pieces which are part of their full body kits, but you can purchase them separately. As Oak pointed out, my car has had the factory black front lip spoiler and side sills painted to match body color. With the addition of the TechArt pieces, we jokingly refer to my body kit as the optional XJF aerokit. I've kept my stock black body pieces, in case I want the non-aerokit look. <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />
