I've seen the pdf graphic on this, but who here has personally removed the side scoops of their turbo, and can you give me a step by step please?

Hopfully this will help a bit.....take a look.......see the piece laying on top of the fender........it is a tab & clip affair

And she does just pull out....but I recall it felt like I was breaking something

Tom.......no 'good' reason.....take a look at where the top end of the removed scoop is sitting......through the window
Unfortunately car was broken into, rear window shattered.......in process of cleaning glass from everywhere (and trying to better understanding of rear window replacement) I removed the scoop.

BTW removing the scoop in no way helps/hinders rear window replace
