The Elise and it's other derivitives are all about weight (or lack of it), and the Honda engine weighs a great deal more than the original K and unbalances the car somewhat.
The Supecharged K engine will produce up to 280bhp with minimal weight increase.
Only problem with this approach is cooling.

I have a PerfectPark 7000 lift and am very happy with it. After the incident mentioned by RWO, they sent a letter explaining what had happened (a bolt came loose if I remember) and a jig that fit onto the carrier where the bolt was that absolutely prevented anything like that from happening again. I have no reservations in recommending a PerfectPark 7000.

Soon2be,

My car has the K series Rover engine in it. I am having a guy in the UK build me a 230hp na motor for it. The guy who is offering the honda conversion has told me for 6 months that his conversion is "right around the corner". I decided to keep the K series and go from there...

Rover just announced a 2 liter K series, that should be good for 250hp+ in na form

Roy,
As mentioned there are weight penalties with the Honda engine, plus, I don't think anyone has run one for any length of time as yet, nor indeed finished the conversion.

There's a guy in Europe on a similar project, with an Exige, who was at the Autosport show here in the UK in January.
When pressed, he confessed the car had never run on the road at all and he didn't know when it would.

The new Rove K is interesting, I can't wait to see how they have modified it to get this capacity as the bores are already particularly close together!

That's Prototype Racing for you. They've been on the verge or releasing headers for my car for a good three years now. But they are almost out <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
