Default Hi Octane Gas in Southern Cal

The highest octane I can find in 91. Does anybody know where to get higher? Is there a additive that is used that works. I live in the Long Beach, OC area. I've tried 76, Chevron, Mobil. Is it just certain stations that have a upgrade?
Any help is appreciated..

Hey Johnny,

Additive wise, Torco Additive supposedly can bump 91 octane to 98 octane with a little as 16oz/tank. Our shop has some torco additive that I can give away for free if you are interested. We also have a barrel of VP 104 also.

But onto the good stuff....

Remember not to run leaded gas in it JB,
it wreaks havoc on your oxygen sensors.
(discuss with your tuner, becuase in some "extreme cases"
the highly modded cars can run leaded, very rarely do you see this,
however.

If you ever get up to LA County, there is always 104 octane pumping at my house.

I store gas at many of my farm locations and never store it in doors. It needs to be in the shade and well ventilated.

Be aware that some of these stations sell the gasoline from the pump and others will only sell you containers. The station in Paramount sells in containers and the one in Huntington Beach and Newport Beach sell from the pump. Before you race off on the others best to call first. You can also get the fuel delivered (I think) via trucking............

Storing it your place? See the comments by Roberttp above. Be aware that most newer garages is where the water heater is located. These if they are gas fired have a LARGE flame just behind a small door at the bottom of the heater. I just wouldn't store large quantities without the proper vents........

Ask me about a friends adventure with Acetone back in our patching surfboard days.......KABOOOOOM!

The 100 Octane unleaded pump fuel in Agoura (first listing) is "only" $4.99/gal. Seems to be a real bargain compared to the others. In fact, with 91 octane at around $3.19, you hardly even notice the difference in price.

Thanks to all. I work in Pasadena so there is one very close. I live in Long beach so another in Huntington Beach isn't that far. I don't think it's as important as it will be when I get "modded". But my 512 might really like that high end juice as well.
Again my thanks...BTW....Farms????? What are they??? LOL

The reason for my post is to get feedback from the following:

Healthwise, for my beloved 2003 996TT, is running high octane fuel good or bad for the engine in the long-term? Relatedly, how does it affect mileage, etc... Any information on the subject is welcome, as I am very new to the scene. I have heard mixed opinions, of which I'm not sure if any were based on fact. One side I hear is that it is, 'in fact' , good for the engine to run 100+ octane fuel. In contrast, someone who's opinion is usually backed by at least some factual material relayed to me that it is generally not good to run it often as it leaves deposits (of something or other, I wasn't paying too close attention!). Can anyone shed some light on this subject for me? I really appreciate it.

Jonathan
