Congrats, brother, I am glad ytou were able to find the car you were looking for.

First thing I did with mine (other than K40 radar detector/laser suppressor) was the Evo Stage 1 upgrade.

Mods for this Spring include a new exhaust (can't decide between Europipe Loud and Fabspeed Super Sport) and the X73 suspension.

Ok here we go last pics of my first 24 hours. This car is amazing!!! I still need a few more hours behind the wheel to give my first impression. But all I can say is wow!!! I am soo glad I bought this car. I just became a P car man for life!!!!

Just finished two coats of NXT. This weekend I think I am going to clay bar and go through all the steps from scratch to bring the paint to brand new condition. Even though it is 95% perfect. What the heck I am in need of a good work out!!! LOL

Cheers to you all!!!!

Well they are an independant shop that specializes in Porsches. Also sell a lot of other exotics. Sales expereince was very good. I personally saw the car twice and then negiotiated pretty much over email abd phone. A lot of it while I was away in Boston for business. Also the set up GREAT financing for me through a credit union. So that was a huge plus.

That being said the post sell part lacked a little. But I did get there pretty late in the evening. There was no walk through of the car etc. Handed me the keys and said go get it!! LOL

I would buy from them again.

Since we are having a dialog here and part of it is on mods. Quick question. What kind of gains am I looking at for an Evo Stage 1?

Did you get a warranty with this car? If so, mods may be a issue if you have any issues with the car down the road and they happen to blam a modification as the cause.

Remainder of the factory warranty. I need to get better versed on the different mods. I hear stage 1, 2 etc. Not sure what all that means yet.

I need to start up the search function on the forum. Went from researching buying a Turbo to now possibly modding it. I don't want to go so radical that I can't reverse what I did in case of an issue.

Back in the Corvette days it was, Cat Back, Intake, Tune, Headers with high flow cats and the cam. Then you go to forced induction. That is another reason I like Porsches over Vettes so much. It seems you don't have to get too radical to make some decent gains in HP.

To pick up 30 HP on a C6 Vette you are looking at Catback, Headers with high flow cats, and Tune. Pretty radical for 30 ponies IMO!

The Stage 1 upgrade adds about 80 hp, I believe. I know that my TT accelerates like a scalded cat with the package. I see peak boost of 1.0 bar. The change in performance is simply amazing, the best money I ever spent on a modification.

!
There are some good Turbo folks here on the boards, just ask and you will get many many answers. I am not familiar with where you live in Ca, but there are many shops that you could also drop by and they will talk to you & give you advice. Sharkwerks in SF and Lucent are 2 that come to mind.

Stage 1 Just Ecu and Air Filter HP 450-470
Stage 2 All the Above plus Exhaust and Divertor Valves 490 510
Stage 3. All the Above plus k24 Race Turbo's which come standard on Turbo S, X50's and Gt2 with this setup there is actually a program that will get you a reliable 600HP and that is called Stage 4.

The Sky is the limit with HP on these cars, so take your time and do your research. Best of Luck.
