Default Anyone try Kumho ECSTA SPT tires?

Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone's put Kumho ECSTA SPT tires on their Turbo. I'm in serious need of tires and do the occasional track day (probably several a year). At this point I'm not wanting to spend $ for both track tires & street tire (and wheels) and would like a great tire for dry pavement that isn't too costly (Michelin & Continental are too expensive).

Any comments on the Kumhos?

Here's the tirerack link: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ndex=6&place=6

Yeah - if money was no object then I'd buy the Mics but alas, at 2.5x more than the Kumho I'd rather not.

Basically I'd like to know if the Kumho's suck. I've heard and read good things about Kumho MX tires but they don't seem to come in the right size for the TT. The SPTs do.

So, for weekend spirited driving and the occasional track day (5-6 a year) are they a good tire? Has anyone acutally run these on their TT?

Thanks,
-Steve

Best tire I have found as a multi-purpose street-track is the Bridegstone S0-2 Potenza...actually holds up to track work quite well. On street, it is very sticky.
