This speed record holder 9FF car in the picture has a nice little front lip.
Beating a world speed record on a track in a straight line cannot be compared to driving a street car at 300Km/H on the Autobahn with wide turns uphill and roads that change in camber. Any marketing sales pitch coming out of 9FF is nowadays related to their speed record, I find it outright irresponsible.
I have yet to see 9FF using their "experience" on the track.
Steve the 9FF wing is very nice but I was just commenting on 9FFs reply to you, and mentioning their 374KMh run. If you drive your car at decent/moderate speeds, the lack of larger front lip (or blade) will only disturb somewhat the balance, most likely you will not notice it.
Sorry
Princeton, update, update, on your car please.
Working on the Motec/sensor setup. The holiday season was busy so my car just sat around waiting on me.
The car starts up fine but I'm getting a sync error at 3800 rpm. Exchanged some PMs with Geoffrey over the weekend so hopefully I'll be able to figure out this one last thing pretty soon. Not sure if I'll have any time to go by the shop until next week tho.
This is a good topic of dicussion. I replaced my front lip with the factory aero(in CF) lip and put a GT2(in CF) wing on back for looks. When I go to the track it goes back to stock. As it was mentioned I don't think I can top the R&D done at Porsche.

Amen to that...though RUF does a pretty good job at R&D I hear to...
Check out the thread on the 996 forum re' c4s cab wings', I posted a pic of my car with the oem aerokit compared to an old shot of my car with a aftermarket GT2 wing. Note the differences in ht, angle ao attack, lateral extension, all of these things dramatically affect high speed stability. I found the aftermarket GT2 wing to be squirrely at speed(better with a TT lip), while the oem is steady as a rock.
Sorry I don't know how to link it!
