Speed Gallery is near your area. Craig (GT950) should be able to chime in.

doesnt adding 200 hp lower the longevity of the car if I drive it hard sometimes? The 70hp ECU add on is only software based.

If one lives in a warm climate.... the upsolute chip might do well. I have 2 friends with it and they get CEls all the time when it gets cold. Apparently the program does not address the MAF issue correctly...
just my opinion. its hard to compete with a $500 program.... but I know that most tuners have developed good programs. I have had 3 different ones on my TT.. on my way to the 4rth.

Who's got Upsolute and what's your opinion of the software? How does it compare to the others?

whats your opinion on the stage 3 upgrade for $7800? It brings HP to 550. will it shorten the life span of the car? is it a good deal? It seems like a hell of alot of money for how it drove when I took a test drive.

I dig my Upsolute! MUCH cheaper than the others, and it works just as well! I think the MAF problem is with the stage 2 programming. Oh well, mine is stage 1.

Default Upsolute

I put the upsolute on my '02 stock car here in So. Cal about a month ago and 1000+ miles back.

Here's my critical review:
- More power than I could have reasonable expected
- no drivability problems at all (it even took out a bit of a flat spot that I've felt in several TT's)
- makes 1 bar boost real fast
- the cheapest one out there
- Richard in Chino Hills turned the box in 4 days with no jive
whatsoever.
- No engine malfunction lights
On the down side, and purely subjectively;
- the boost comes on early and somewhat harder than I might have chosen.....somwhat reminicent of the lag on the older cars.
Bottom line: I'm very happy with it and certanly would not have spent 2-3x the money for more subtle boost control/ramp rate.

But there is also a BIG difference in price! I'd be willing to bet that my car would hang with any stage 1 out there in a drag race.

maybe in 1st and second gears... but thats it.... I had all these stage I know...
If u can "hang" with a gsxr750 then ur fast... I hang with gsxr 1000s .. these are bikes...

there is absolutelaty no way any TT with a k16 turbo pushing 1 bar that can outrun or hang with cars taht push 1.3 bars with modified k16(hybrids)...
just my opinion...
