Hello Tom,
Good move, the factory cooler setup would be very expensive. Internal and external parts as well as cooling system parts are needed.

Marty,
After talking to near everyone in the country who IS a trans expert (ie Brian Copans and the like) the following is what I learned and conclusions and upgrades.
There are three parts to the first and second gear synco the middle being brass. That is what was bad in my tranny. The other syncos are also brass. Brass because of metal heat properties it expands and contracts less than steel.. So when cold and hot about the same size. So feels ok with cold tranny and good for old guys to just drive their car to work without hearing any trans noise.
Steel is better and stronger. But needs to warm up and noisey when cold. Better for higher hp or race conditions as long as get a warm up.
I can and am replacing 3-4-5-6 syncros steel for brass (also $40 vs$100 so not that expensive).
Cant get steel 2nd gear syncro (middle part). About $1200 and no one can find out how to get it form porsche motorsports (also was told they have NOTHING to do with the dealer). So got new 2nd and 3rd gears (yes needed the actual gear) they were $1200 apiece I think.
Looked into solid motor and tranny mounts but told since our cars shift with cables that is kinda old school mentality (so why do the cup cars have them?) also told that couldnt get "cup car mounts"
got GT2 Sachs pressure plate and light weight RS fly wheel cause thought was a good idea?
Tryed to get a tranny oil cooler and found out it was WAY harder to do and connect so I gave up on that.
since I am a vascular surgeon and not a car mechanic I could be wrong about any or all of the above so anyone else reading this keep comments constructive , not ones that I am a stupid dumb A.. ect...LOL
Well, hope that was what you wanted Marty, so if I rambled, I have a lot of other useless info if you want to pm me!

We are using steel syncro's in all gears 1st thru 6th. If you want know where to get the first gear steel syncro PM or e-mail me. All six gears have been changed. The above pics were taken when the oil cooler was being installed.
If you are going to track your 996tt very hard then you would be well advised to look at upgrading your stock single index old pump.

What Khalil said, the X73 comes with stiffer mounts as part of the kit. Don't think you can buy them seperately. You would do well to consider the X73 on your car, combined with a set of sport cups, unbelievable track handling.

So the JRZ's or Motons would not be better? Cause X-73 was the way I was considering to go. Need to check with JP and RXDOC our track experts first.

Sure ,the Motons and JRZ's are more adjustable and a lot more expensive, and probably better on an all out track car. But the X73 is the factory designed competition setup specifically for your car, and still very streetable, hard to beat. Braman or Suncoast usually have sales in the springtime, run around 1800$.
Sorry Khalid, my bad.

AFAIK, X73 is the sport suspension. And I was under the impression that Porsche did not develop *any* competition parts specifically for the TT.
