Hi,

I might consider adding an exhaust system with 100cell cats to my 2003 TT non X50. I am also planning on chipping the car to stage 2, or 3 with new wastegate and intake system (but keeping the K16). My concern is would 100cell cats be a problem with either the turbo's overspooling and CEL (that is what I read so far from 2 users).

That should not happen and has not happened to me or anyone I know as long as you have the 100 cell cats, if you have a CEL may be some other problem

good luck, but remember the more mods the more "potential" problems!!

No codes here...with 100 cell cat EP 2 Loud.

NO codes with Fabspeed GT2 Loud Super Sport. Sold the car and the new owner has a CEL which came on AFTER he got some bad gas and added octane booster. Coincidence? Dunno. I ran 3 years and about 15,000 miles (lots of track) and no problems whatsoever with the 100 cell racing cats.

have euro pipe loud 100 cell cats never a code prob mods are great if done correctly...but the more radical you get the more the car will test your mental ability..... irrgardless of your mechanical capability

I have Europipe stage II quiet and GIAC controller on my GT2 - no problems. I had Ruf exhaust, with 100 cell cats on my TT. My brother has Cargraphic on his TT, no problems.

Had 100 cell cats on the 996 TT and had no problems.
