Default winshield sand damage what to do??

Got caught in sand storm and the windshield got some light to moderate sand damage. Can it be polished out? thanks carl

I don't think you can do anything except replace the windshield.

Did you have any paint damage?

The glass and windshield shops have a windshield polisher and some compound to buff out scratches and pitting. You can take it to one and ask if they can get out those pits. Just make sure they guarantee to your satisfaction.

it happened on the way back from willow springs. The good news is it was the elise not the gt2. the paint is rough on the lower part of the hood and the clear bra on the bumper is bad. i polished out the hood the clear bra will need to be replaced. the headlight covers are pocked up but i may wait on them. The problem with replacing the windshield is you have to remove the front clam to get it out not simple. Do windshild repair shops polish windshields?? thanks carl

Yes, they do. They can polish it to a degree. If they go too far the glas will become wavey. A good shop will be able to handle the job. If not find a place that cuts glass. They too can do it.
