Default ANYONE WITH UPSOLUTE&FABSPEED?

i have a 2002 TT 996
Is Anyone has upsolute chip - fabspeed supersport ecxhaust and evo filter system?
i called upsolute and the guy said they want $750.00 just for stock chip upgrade, then i have to send the dyno with the ecxhaust and air filter, and they remapped the chip again for $175.00 more.
there is few performance center guys out there charge 2-3 thousands.
why these guys charge so much money to download a programm to that chip?
which is the cheapest and accurate company to go with?
thanks,Bill

I have both. I didn't remap mine after the exhaust, and it runs perfectly. I did have some trouble with the soldering that my local schmuck did, so I recommend sending your PCM directly to Rene at Upsolute. It takes about 5 minutes to remove it, and Rene has a one day turn around. Great way to go for stage one tuning!

I had the B&B LeMans exhaust on before the Upsolute with stock intake. Have since changed to the EVO intake. No need to remap the chip. If you have any issues with the local Upsolute rep, call or email Rene Barube in North Carolina. Pull out your ECU and overnight it to him. He'll fix you up. Incidentally, I paid $500 in March of '04.

It's $700 now, or $750 if they remove it and install it. It's super easy to take out, so I'd skip paying for the install.

I'd jump on that if the price is good. Who cares if it's used, it's stainless steel, and it's under the car!
