Ah yes Olaf Manthey, I forgot about him but thanks for reminding me of him. Another very capable man with a good race record too in the VLN events at the 'Ring. His place is nice and as stated not even around here do i see much advertisement of the Manthey product unlike Cargraphic and TechArt.

I am happy with the stuff I've got.

Motorsports, word of mouth, repeat clientelle and all the other tuners keep the shop very busy. That is his MAIN form of advertising.

For example, I'm contemplating an HP upgrade but only if such a "mod" is fully balanced with the overall performance and reliability of the car. If, for instance, more HP results in suffering lesser functionality or reliability in some other performance aspect...then obviously such a proposition does not work for me. In other words, who does the best comprehensive upgrade package? Is there such a tuner...who can take a $150k car and say here's a mod package that you can reliably live with for the rest of the life of your car as originally envisioned by Porsche? Drive it on the street, track, easy or hard and you won't have any CELs, blown MAFs, etc. etc.!
Hence calling on all tuners and non-stock Turbo owners...

You want longevity and reliability and have that kind of budget, make sure you get a package that keeps you within around 1 Bar, and includes at a minimum cams, intercoolers and turbos. Make sure you see a before and after dyno chart as a sine-qua-non condition specifically on your car. Check the smoothness and growth vs. stock of the curve in the 4-6k RPM area and make sure you see AFRs and boost for that RPM range on the same chart or datalogs..

Attnoc, I have always repected your opinions. I am thinking of some engine mods for my 03TT. Why specifically would you spend the money on RUF engine mods? I am trying to decide if I should spend the money on RUF or go GIAC.
Thanks Doc.

Thanks Doc for your help thus far.
I now undestand that RUF is the "if money is no object" choice. However, does RUF 600+ hp versions provide the same reliability and driveability as the 500hp version. I guess one of my questions Doc, is at what point in modding the engine do you loose reliability and drivability, or does the RUF modifications regardless of HP output give you the reliability and drivability?
Thanks Doc.
