CEL on aftermarket exhausts?
well after 30 miles driving with the new Remus Exhaust on 996TT, I get the Check Engine Light.
Is this a common thing with aftermarket exhausts? I hesitate to take it to Porsche.. my mechanic friend says he can check the codes and figure it out from there.
Usually what is the problem.. affected O2 sensor? Any general tips?
Thanks in advance!

Can't speak for Remus by also never had a CEL with my Europipes. Could just be a coincidence or the sensors were reinstalled wrong, or there are other problems with intake or leaks....my guess is it has something to do with installation rather than the hardware, but what do I know?

My bet is that the pre-cat and post-cat 02 sensors were screwed in visa-versa... Something like that. One is a five gauge and the other a four gauge so check and see which is which and let us know...

KJ was nice enough to take me for a ride in his new toy and I must say the Remus exhaust sounds very sweet. No resoance and at WOT it talks just enough. Very nice system and a bargin for the price charged. Thanks again KJ!!!
