Arrrgghh got a CEL today
I was driving my car at a S-L-O-W pace today. I started up an incline and noticed that my engine felt like it was "stuttering" around 3500rpm. I thought "hey, that wierd" and kept going. 2 blocks later, i revved again and got a CEL. I turned the car off, checked the gas cap and restarted. This time, when revved i got a FLASHING CEL. I turned it off, called the dealer and drove the car in. CEL stopped flashing.
What a pain is the ***. I am babyless, rolling a guards red Mazda 6! (sic).
Ah well, i guess these are the pleasures/pains of porsche ownership.
never had these probs with my trusty 350Z.
had to vent.
Anyone else have this happen?

Take it to the dealer, they will fix it under warranty, or you can take off the rear bumper and check the hoses running to and from the intercoolers. I bet if you take it off you will see your problem.

well...they said it was nothing.
cyl 5 misfired.
They took all the coils off, tested the plugs put it all together and the car ran perfect.
What they DID tell me was that i'm "redlining" the car a lot and any engine failure *may not* be covered under the pre-owned warrantee.
What a load of BS.
SO much for porsche's faith in their race-derived motor.
Maybe i'll start looking for an NSX again...

Even if the car has not been frequently redlined or mishifted, might think about a dif dealer for future support (if you are still under warranty).....NSX?..isn't that pretty much apples & oranges (sorry, just my opin.).
