Default GT2 Revo

I have the Revo on my GT2 and love it. Mark from Hergesheimer 949 458 7223 installed it. Revo had their flash loader out before GIAC on the turbo.

The car not only has a lot more power - but it runs smoother. Power increase aside, the car just runs better. I have not had it dyno'd yet - so don't have any numbers. It came with a switch box that allows you to control boost and timing for different fuel grades.

vyper340 - where do you go boating?

What could one expect to pay for such an add-on?

KWB - I boat on the lower Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean. There's a whole other thing to speed on the water that does not even compare to speed on land. Besides, there are no speed limits on the water so you can go as fast as you can go...

I don't recall the cost - around $3500 I think, call Mark Hergesheimer - he can tell you.

I know what you mean, I have a 42' Cigarette with Merc 900's / #6 drives, in fact the boat came from your area - Chesapeake Bay, maybe you saw it there a couple years ago - Cigarette Tiger - American Flag Paint job?

kwb,
I am not so sure of that. If they are doing it with their own protocol and not the PSTII then yes they may be. We have been been flashloading at one level or another for about 8 months. No other company than GIAC has flash loading for the Boxster, 996, 996TT, 997 and Vee Dub and Audi as well as HP packages from 480HP to 900HP all flashloaded. Lastly no one has the dealer network with the support that we do. Any GIAC dealer flashloads.

Cost of the GIAC program is 1995 for the lower packages and for the 605HP 2995.00.

I was always against soildering on top of my ECU - thats why I waited for Revo to finish their flash loader. I spoke to the guys at GIAC and at the time they were working on a system but it wasnt available. I am extremely happy with Revo. They are big in Europe, but new to the N. American market. I highly recomend Revo to anyone looking for software upgrades. Check them out at: http://revotechnik.com/index.aspx

Stephen,
You may have been given wrong information. REVO has been flashloading Boxsters, 996, 996TT, GT2 and GT3 for awhile now. REVO uses its a protocol and does not require the PST tester to install. We have used on PST tester to insure no fault codes and all engine diagnostics are operating properly with no check engine lights. We ourselves have installed over 30 programs in 996, Boxsters, GT2, 996TT, GT3 and Cayennes. REVO also offers the availability for the customer to switch between fuel grades and from stock to performance without returning to installer.

If anyone would like current and accurate information about REVO, I invite you to contact us at

As I said before, I had REVO for my Audi RS4 and it was superb, that's why i'm looking to get it again, I personally would recommend this over anything else! My only problem is that they have not completed Software for the Tip yet (Trans issues!) but I think Revo are being safe and want to be cautious in testing before releasing it!

Hope it's here soon!!!

Would you have a engine not wheel dyno sheet available on those claimed 900 hp ?

Cigarette 1 - ohh yeah! Been on OSO since they first started. Maybe we've met or at least crossed paths in Miami at the IBS... I'll be in Miami at the OSO party as usual if you're gonna be there.

Where do you boat? Are you selling the cig? If so, what year (it looks like at least 2000 or newer), what's in it and what are you looking to get for it?

Dave,

We probably have met ... maybe last year in Miami ... I bought the boat from Lip-ship and had it in Miami during the boat show week. It was my best trip by far. It's one of four 2000 carbonfiber F2 twinstep Top Guns. It's now rigged with 525efi and runs 90+. It was the factory campaigned, F2 SBI World Champ in 2000
