Huntington Beach, California. The car wash on the corner of Beach and Slater. They sell VP racing fuel. But don't use them to wash your Porsche car...no,no,no!

The ECU in the 996 TT will automatically adjust to higher octane levels, providing more performance. It will be more than 3-5 bhp at high octane levels (100 and above).

If you go to the 76 website there is a link there that will find the stations that carry race fuel in your area.

try here

They changed the site and the race fuel locator is not quite as friendly as before. You used to be able to put in your zip code and it would show you the nearest stations. Now they list by state and you have to look through the list.

It will not adjust timing any higher than the optimum that was determined by Porsche for 93 octane gas. Unless you reprogram the chip, there is no benefit from using 100 octane gas on a properly running car.

Default Race fuel in Washington

I called the 1-800 number on the 76 site to locate a station in Washington with race fuel and got the voicemail for Rockett Brand Racing Fuel. They sent me this e-mail:

Supply of our products to Union 76 stations in Washington would be provided by our Master Marketer for the Northwest, Welt Oil Company. At this time I have no Union 76 stations listed. Since we are no longer part of Union 76 or its parent company ConocoPhillips, our products could be distributed to any brand station. For that information please contact our Master Marketer at 1-800-253-3067 and ask for Brad Welt.
