Question Spare Tire Delete Kit

I am thinking I might replace my space saver spare tire kit with one of the replacement packages being sold. These usually are lighter and give you a little more space; not that I'm going to haul lumber or anything, just Mrs. Coopers luggage!

In any case I have a couple of questions:

Has anyone ever used the aerosol inflator from one of these kits after experiencing a flat tire? How did it work out?

I would be glad for recommendations as to which kit to purchase.

Thanks!

the one I saw in a GT3 was just a regular fix a flat inflater can. It had a different brand name. I always carry a few string type plugs and a rasper/insertor tool and a can of the glue with me. All I need is air or the inflater pump and I can fix any flat (thats not too big of a gash), just like I was home.

Isn't there a whole delete kit with a different carpeted liner and pockets etc. etc.? I think that the GT-2 has one and maybe the GT-3 as well? I'll try to research and point it out.

In any case I wonder how well that aerosol would work with a puncture?

Thanks for the info Mr. Barnett!

Yes, there is a formed Styrofoam container designed to replace the entire area where your collapsible spare goes. AFAIK, it does not provide extra trunk space.
