Question ECU Upgrade for X50

I've looked over the discussions on this board about ECU upgrades, but didn't see where anyone was specifically upgrading their X50. It seems that it must be a different code set than a non X50 turbo.

So, has anyone here done an X50? If so, please tell me about it.

Thanks.

I had the GIAC level 4/IA 600 on my X50
It is a K24 specific program so only really works on X50s or cars with aftermarket turbos

powerchip do a great chip upgrade which takes you from 331kw to 384kw with torque upto almost 700nm. check them out as in Australia its $6000 option which is 1/4 the price of anywhere else and it cleans up the throttle roughness as you move off the mark if it is a manual.

There is an upgrade for your ECU using flash programming thru the data port. No removal of computer is necessary. Revo Technics.
If you would like more info, contact me.

Pretty sure that Upsolute has a specific X50 ECU tune as well.

Thanks for the suggestions. I also spoke to a good friend who had an FVD upgrade to a non X50 TT, about a year and a half ago, and it has performed flawlessly.

I spoke to Laura at Hergesheimer. They have a very impressive method, just flashing the data port.

Beware...flashing is cool but it also means your dealer can flash back to stock!! no overwriting mechanism without a physical encryptor

We have an ECU upgrade for you X50 as well. It will produce about 540-550BHP with an airfilter and our exhaust. Both are HIGHLY reccomdned with upgraded programing.

With our flash programming you have the ability to switch back to stock mode before you go to the dealer. They are not aware of additional programs. If for some reason the customer needs to be reprogrammed it is done for the customer at no charge
