Rattles coming from rear - common ?
I have what sounds like lifters rattling, at start-up and idle.
It dose not go away.
At first ,I thought this was a TT phenomenon, but now I'm not so sure.
It has made the sound from day 1 , this is my first turbo ( 04 - 4 months old ).
Is it normal or should I have it looked at?
If so, it did it on delivery .

Rear seatbelts rattle on my 996c4
Don't know what kind of rattle, but the whole rear seat area can rattle on and off. You might drop the seat backs, move the seat belts and certainly take everything out of the car and see if that helps.

I went to my dealer and tested another tt - it had the same annoying rattle.
It probaly is the chains - that's what it sounds like.
A shame that it is normal , but I'm glad it's not a major issue I need to get resolved.
Thanks, for the replies.
