Hey guys few days ago got used wheels with tires
1. Rear wheels have different brand from front
2. Front has a cheapest tire possible and also I notice patern on tire was different
Left tire on outside showing outside and right tire showing inside
How is it even possible?
Can tires be turned like that or installed like that?
I had an independent tire shop do that on a Lexus IS 350 I had in the late 2000's. They had good reviews and I thought I'd go with a local business. Some of the fronts were on the back and some were backwards. The rims were also scuffed. I can only assume drugs were involved.
I never underestimate the stupidity the human race is capable of.
How about this one: We had a Jaguar F-PACE SVR come into the shop a while back fresh from a Jaguar dealer after getting tire service with the obviously wider rear wheels bolted on the front hubs (front wheels at the rear). To add insult to injury, one of the 265/40/22 tires was mounted on the wheel where the 295/35/22belonged (and vice versa). Yes, we were flabbergasted.
Those last two scenarios are similar to what happened to mine. I forgot I got out a measuring tape and measured which wheels were wrong and had to tell them because I had wheels and tires all over. What in the name of meth…
I ran a set of 8 year old tires at the track and they were fine before they corded. If stored inside they do fine. Sun and weathering can make them crunchy.

This.
As long as they're stored inside at room temps, they'll last forever.
