My search has not turned up any good videos or written descriptions of how to correctly remove and re-install the circular wire clips on boost hoses like the one indicated by the green arrows in the picture below. I have only had to deal with the ones on the Y pipe until this evening. Those I removed by gently pulling the ends outward with pliers and spreading them before sliding them off. Tonight, I got into a situation where I could not get pliers in there. There must be a trick or easier method that allows you to know you have inserted these correctly. Words of wisdom or a link to some known youtube video would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

I just use a flat head and pop one side over and then rotate it off and then I use a flat head to get it back into place as well

 

This, just pick it out of the groove and move it on over.
