I am hoping that someone here can shed some light on this situation as I thought it was a simple plug and play. I have an 02 turbo and the Becker 220 radio has decided to go to **** on me. I bought a Becker 223 straight out of another 996 C4S owners car. Now my Porsche shop is telling me that the antenna is different and it's a fiber optic connection which the 220 wasn't.

Can anyone shed some light on whether this 03 Becker radio will work in the 02 Turbo? I honestly don't believe they could be that different that they can' t be swapped, but what do I know apparently.

If it's a MOST (fiber optic) radio in the 2003, it won't be interchangeable. I have a MOST 2003 CR23 and it was a pain in the *** to do the bluetooth setup.

Well crap. Here I thought I was doing a minor upgrade to the 03 model and I screwed myself. Oh well, I guess I'll sell this nice 03 and buy an 02. It's too bad I can't just get the faceplate replaced, but that's even more $$ than just buying a slightly used one. Thanks!!!!
