I’ve been following this a while and I’m sorry you have had to deal with this and I empathize having been there myself and losing thongs I really valued. Good friends got me through it and you have a solid crew helping you. Looking forward to the positive outcome for you ! -scrh1

Ok, this mornings update; the underside of the pump was dry, or at least, dry as far as I could reach my giant meat club under it.

Battery took three days to be fully charged. I energized the circuit, everything came on, but the windows didn't reset, so I'm welcome to suggestions on how to achieve that so I can close the doors.

Bad news is that the oil leak is still ongoing and the pool is increasing. This suggests to me that wherever it is, it has some pressure behind it otherwise there wouldn't be a leak. I'll get the air box off the weekend and have a closer look.

Use the switches to roll the windows all the way down then all the way back up. If they still dont reset, you can at least roll the windows down slightly to close the doors and roll them back up. The doors open easily even if the windows dont drop, but they dont like to close that way.

Gravity is probably the source of the leak rather than it being pressurized.

Good plan, I'll try that.

Yes, apologies, that is what I meant 'gravity' or 'head' pressure, so the leak is below the volume of oil.

Excellent, windows fixed, doors closed.

Thank you.

One touch doesn't seem to be happy though ...

Have you tried holding the window down button down for a few seconds after rolling the window down the holding it up for a few seconds after rolling the window up?

No... I do recall reading about this in the past - is that the fix?

I am still debating what to do with the car. A few others in my circle have suggested keeping it. The finances are still in limbo, but it could be done. I love this car and my son loves riding in it.

I have another vehicle to offload in the meantime that cause me far more historical grief than this car...

Thanks for all the updates!

Should do it. I just lost all my settings on a battery disconnect. All pre-sets = PITA

This is a most poignant thread and I wish you great luck with it. You are lucky to have 2fcknfst in your corner helping bring the 'ol girl to life.

I've had countless women and some messy stuff too. But I kept the Porsche Turbo! Keep 'er if you can, and Good Luck man...

If it loses the window drop on door handle setting, the first time going up and down relearns that, and the second time relearns the one touch or something along those lines. If you test the one touch and the window moves but doesn't go all the way down or up, then you have to go all the way down and back up again to restart the learn procedure. It has taken me 3-4 times to get them to behave right. My windows can be such bad children
