Perhaps the rear suspension from my old 964 is not so bad afterall.

I got on to mine a little today. It feels pretty solid, but may be a little more squirely. Then again, I could just be paranoid now. I went from Ruf to H&R on my 90 and that car is the absolute smoothest at high speed of any car I have been in, especially for cabriolet. I was hoping to get the same results on the Tubro, but I don't think it feels as firmly planted.

A damper/strut body assembly should be designed to allow ride-height adjustment without spring pre-load and without changing the damper position. JIC is an example of this design for "entry level" street applications.

Color Change:

A two-way version of the struts and rear dampers used in ALMS might be a bargain.

Best regards.

Hi Bob,

More pornography for the Porschophile. Amazing!

I'm just waiting for you to get them mounted on your car so that I can have a go at your PCCB's.

KPV,
So, what were your final settings for the suspension? I have a 2001 996 Turbo that is going to the shop next week for installation. I ordered the TechArt PSS9 suspension, and several body bits and pieces. I've been looking around for some ideal settings, but haven't found any. Judging from the previous posts, I assume the GT2 settings are not ideal for this car. Also, how much sag did you get after the springs settled? Because of the TechArt front bumper, I've decided it might not be a good idea to lower too much. The CF splitter in the front is quite low. I only decided to get this bumper because it actually generates enough downforce to keep the front end planted. So maybe I think 3/4" in front and 1/2" in rear. Please advise! Also, under high cornering loads, are you getting any rubbing with tires and the lowered ride height?
thnx
Anthony

Anthony,
From my research, I would not go lower than ROW height. The lower you go, the less suspension travel you have.
I am at GT2 ride height and have found the only usable damper settings to be #1 all around. This substantially stiffens damper and thus, somewhat controls the response of the suspension instead of the springs. It is not a good scenario. A better scenario woul dbe to keep the ride height higher and the dampers softer so the springs and dampers woudl be a better match (more in sync). That is the basis for my opinion of ROW height or above.
I am not getting any rubbing of the tires.

Great. Thanks. Is it possible that I take a look at your specs? Please explain what ROW is. I'm new
How low did you finally set it at? Or did you go back to stock height?
