Default Battery Tender interconnect

Like many of you, I have to connect my car to a battery tender. Currently, I have to open the frunk to make the connection which adds to the list of things I have to do to actually get my car out of the carport (move cars, take off cover, etc.). Has anyone fitted their 996 Turbo with one of the connector seen below? Ideally, for me, it would be somewhere near the left front tire. TIA

Are you going to connect this to the battery?

Yep, the leads leave the battery plug into the free end of this assembly. The bulkhead end mounts somewhere and the battery tender plugs into it.

Clever idea for an outdoor situation. If the car is garaged you could also just crack the window and run the cable to the always on lighter plug in the console. I have my tender mounted high on a shelf and sub a short cable when no cover on or a longer one to run under the cover. SAE cables are the way to go vs bespoke ones, you just need to make sure the polarity remains right when adding extensions.

The cord runs under the door on my 996 and remains free to slide.....no need to crack window.

We have used a NOCO setup for a few years and it works amazingly! I do NOT do the cigarette charger at all. I have connected the battery connections and it has a disconnect that we use. I run the wires from the battery and below the hood...then we just tuck it under. Pretty easy.

I use the cig lighter on my car and run the wire through the door. The wire is small enough it doesn't get pinched and doesn't hurt the paint in the door sills.
