Default 2004 Silver Turbo Cab good buy?

Looking at a 3 owner, 54k mile Silver over black 04 Turbo, 135k original price, six speed, some minor seat leather issues. New clutch.

I think 50k is good offer.

Thoughts

I'd be surprised if the seller let it go for $50k, but I don't think it's an outrageous opening bid, assuming no stories. Would be interesting to know the story behind new clutch at 54k miles. My car, I had a cracked pressure plate, but if everything is normal it's a rather low mileage level for a new clutch.

I'd have to know more about the car to opine tightly on the price, but if there are little to no issues except for the leather, I think $50K is low.

I wouldn't sell the described car for anywhere near $50k but I would definitely buy one at that price.

I agree that $50k is low, assuming good condition. It would be a good deal for a buyer at $55k.
When I bought mine at 47k, it had a new clutch, so I don’t think that’s a concern. I’ve had mine for nearly 7 years and 20k miles with no issues.

Car had a lot of service/maintenance work in 2022 including new clutch, rennkit eram spoiler lift kit, cab hydraulic and lift cylinder.

Tires have 6k miles.

Seat issues are a halo ring at top of drivers seat and the leather layer on the passenger seat partially removed (a few square inches).

Looking at $54k+ delivered

good luck if you can get it for $54k that's a deal... if you can get it for $50k you stole that car.

Buy it but always get a solid PPI

Yes, sounds like a buy in todays market and the 04 is a solid, good looking ride

Yep, when I bought my car almost 8 years ago @43K miles it had a new clutch. One test ride with the previous 70+ year old own told me why, he wasn't all that smooth and rode it a bit. Car was bone stock, now have 20K miles on the replacement, almost all of it with a 1 bar tune and it's been solid.

Mid 50s is apparently a good deal these days. 8 years ago it was mid 40s to get a good deal on a moderate mileage coupe.

Good luck with the purchase!

$54k is a great deal in today’s market. I wouldn’t sell my cab with similar mileage and sticker price for less than $60k, but maybe I’m dreaming a bit…

Definitely scoop that up if the mechanical condition checks out.

Good luck

Reading this thread makes me happy that someone is getting an awesome deal like I did on my car.

I have an 04 TT cab with slightly higher miles and there is zero chance I would sell it for anywhere near that price - tack on another $20k and you’d be in the ballpark.

I told the buyer the most I will pay is $49,996. Waiting to see if the will accept.

Hagerty says a #3 Turbo is worth $49,000.

Why the gimmicky price? Why not just round it up to $50k?
