Angry Lost Drive

HI,
A buddy of mine has an 03 turbo, he was driving up sahara and right in front of Gaudin Porsche he heard a "POP" and lost drive in the car. He was able to nurse it into the service bay but it was hardly moving. It kinda acted like it was a clutch but he was not actively using the clutch when it happened (he was just cruising) and it had no prior symptoms of slippage.

Any ideas?

One of our thoughts is that it might be a rear CV, if it is will the car move at all under its own power?

Thanks,
Pete

Hi Msindi,
Yes you did sell me the wheels that are on my car in the avatar. Thanks for sending them too me, they sure looked nice on the car.
Unfortunalty I hit a huge rock and destryoed 2 of them about a month ago. I now have a set of Fikse prophile 10's on order for it.

Turns out it was a loose CV, tightend it up and Magic, it works.

Later,
Pete
