Will this be an issue? I'll run 315s later...but the current tires are in good shape, so i'd like to continue to use them if possible.

A 295 tire can be installed in an 11.5" wheel. However, for some reason, Continental doesn't approve of it.

I've been going through this same exercise, wanting to put new rubber onto the Gemballa Competition 18 wheels (8.5x18 F and 11.5x18 R) that I've acquired. Michelin also does not approve of putting the OEM Pilot Sport 295/30ZR18 tires onto 11.5 wheels, and as a matter of fact don't even spec them to fit onto the factory 11 wheels (they show the applicable size range to be 9.5 - 10.5 on their website; go figure!)
When I spoke w/ Tire Rack about this in general, they said that the PS 295s are already pretty taut on the 11 wheels, so they were concerned about any further tweaking onto larger rims. I'm waiting for the PS2 to come out in 315/30ZR18 so that I can use those at the rear. Hopefully it won't be too awfully long. fwiw.....
