Just got a 996 turbo w/sport seats, manual adjustment. The seat doesn’t seem to go as far back as the same sport seats in my 996 gt3. Is there something I can do to get the sport seats in my turbo to adjust further back?

Are the sport seats original to the car? Some people install used sport seats from a 986 Boxster and those seats don't adjust as far back as the 996 sport seats.

not sure if Seats are original to car, but that makes sense. The seats are metropol blue/speed yellow painted backs, suppose there was a boxster or two with that combo.

I asked on Facebook and was told that there is a dimple on the seat rails that can be grinded down to allow seat more leeway.

Your options sticker under the frunk lid will tell you if your car came with sport seats. Option code is P78. Option code for seatbacks painted to match exterior is XSA.
