Default ? About 2005 turbo not turbo S worth more?

I'm looking at a 05 turbo. Unknown to me they built 122 regular turbos in 05. I thought they only built the turbo s.

Anyone have thoughts on the appreciation value of an 05 turbo vs 05 turbo s since the turbo in 05 is much more rare?

46000 mile manual with pccb's factory aero and hardbacks.

Yes, I'm sure they will take off in value like an F40 (despite the fact that they are essentially identical to the other 20,000+ 996 Turbos built).

But seriously, sounds like a nice car, but future collectible with exceptional value appreciation? Buy it to drive and go pick a nice stock or index fund for capital speculation instead.

any difference whether perceived or genuine would be of dubious value monetarily.

"46000 mile manual with pccb's factory aero and hardbacks". without the "S" badge shows that porsche was simply using up spare 996tt parts.

slap a cayenne "S" badge on it - then buy and hold. think GameStop stock ( GME ) lol.

It wouldn't be worth more or much less if a nice car.

I think that sounds like a keeper - I am somewhat the opposite, my car is a 2003 X50 with PCCBs, effectively an 'S' before Porsche tagged it as such. As far as I can tell, there are very few of mine around, but if there were only 122 'turbos' for 2005, sounds interesting.

All other things being equal, then a Turbo S is worth several $k more than a Turbo, and a few more than an X50. Then you get modded ones with $100k builds

Pretty sure the "S upgrades" will trump the rarity on the 2005s.

I didn't even know there was a standard turbo in 2005 before this thread - I thought they were all S's.

If my memory is correct and you want rare, find one of the 2 Turbo S cars built in 2004.

I think most of the 2005 turbos were cabs with less than one hands worth of coupes. Is it GT silver with the aero kit?

I think Heidi's car is a turbo with an "S" added.

MY2005:
- Turbo S Coupe: 598
- Turbo S Cabriolet: 960
-Turbo Coupe: 122
- Turbo Cabriolet: 127
- GT2: 18

This is total, both US and ROW. Source 996 The Essential Companion by Adrian Streather.

I don't know about Heidi & Fran turbo but didn't it have PCCB? it might be a real S, not sure.

I was referring to North American cars.

In one of their video's they talk about their turbo having the x50 and ccb's so the "S" was added. I don't believe they built any 2004 turbo s for NA.
