Default Inconsistent Clutch

I have a 2001 996 turbo and lately I've noticed when releasing the clutch that occasionally it will try to "soft engage" early. The "hard engage" point does not move from it's position along the pedal travel, but sometimes when the pedal is only about an inch off of the floor, I can feel the drivetrain load up or the car will softly "lurch" forward before the actual clutch engagement happens and I can drive normally. The accumulator and slave cylinder were replaced 2 years ago after I had the frunk reservoir overflow issue. I checked the fluid levels in the power steering reservoir and the frunk reservoir and made sure they were at the right levels. The frunk reservoir seemed high but I can't be sure it had moved at all since I hadn't been keeping track. Now I have a photo and will be monitoring it. Any thoughts on which components it might be? Slave cylinder, master cylinder, accumulator, etc.

I'd start by bleeding the slave. I had similar symptoms and bleeding fixed them mostly. The fluid that I bled out had a lot of foamy bubbles in it.

Also, check for wetness in the foot wells - if it has let go, the fluid will pool there. And if it has let go, covert to a GT2 or BBi slave.
