I'm asking because I'm on this journey, and my 21 year old pump is working fine, I'm keeping the STD fpr, but installing bigger injectors, 16/24 billet hybrid turbo's, gt2rs intercoolers
Should I be changing my fuel pump, even if just for piece of mind 🙄🤔
Thanks 👍
My tuner Sam indicated i was running out of fuel, (completely stock fuel system) on maffless stock k16 set up. He recommended the new Radium Walbro pump set up. We are re-tuning it now and after the first review it appears we are heading in the right direction.

So replacing the stock fuel pump to Walbro, do you need to retune or will the car just work? I assume just work as excess fuel returns to tank.

i don't know 🤔 my thoughts are the Walbro pump just moved more fuel faster with the same Electrical supply. The system does have a return pipe. The larger capacity ensures you don't run lean (fuel starvation) on tuned cars as this can damage or destroy your motor, I think I'm Correct on this but welcome any corrections 👍🇬🇧

Update Winter 2023:

I am currently servicing the car over the winter here in NY and figured I would give everyone an update.

I have been enjoying the car thoroughly since my last post and have just been putting as many miles as I can on it.

Only updates of substance are adding APR R1 diverter valves and EVOMS F hose, in place of my Tial BOV set up. For sale btw.
& New set of Falken tires for the rear, fresh set of spark plugs with a coil pack harness plug replacement.

Here are some pictures from spring/summer/fall 2022, and now winter service.

For future ease of running the stock tune / maf to pass inspection. This way i dont have to swap it back and forth every year.

Love your car!. Do you have any detailed feedback on how the Falken tires perform on the street? Do they hook up in colder temps?

Thy have been a great summer tire, not recommended for sub 40 degrees. They easily hold my 450ish whp in warm weather.

They're pretty decent in the rain too.
