You are entitled to your opinion like I am. But that's all it is, your opinion.

Carlo, given there were only 9,160 turbos for NA production, of which many have been totaled or heavily modified, do you think we will see an increase in value for good condition factory original examples? Picture for example of salvage title cars.

Yes, and we have been seeing prices for low mileage completely stock cars increase significantly in the past couple of years. This COVID situation has pulled the market back quite a bit unfortunately. But it do see pristine 996TTs achieving the same value as pristine 930s in the future. How long this will take is difficult to predict.

The Mezger 996s will be (already are?) collectibles that command higher and higher prices as time goes on, similar to what we've seen with aircooled cars. I don't think we'll ever see a million dollar 996, but I think clean unmodified examples are a safe bet as an "investment" vehicle.

M96 cars I predict will see a lifecycle similar to the 944: relatively forgotten and unloved for quite some time, with many inexpensive examples out there (often in disrepair). After awhile interest will pick up in them again and prices will jump for the special editions (Millenium, C4S, etc.) or well cared for examples. Again, I don't think anyone will be paying the original MSRP for an M96 car anytime soon, but I bet they will slowly but surely creep up in value as time goes on and the number of unmolested examples decreases.

I partially agree with Carlo about how the values of the generations are related. But I also believe that the Mezger cars are essentially an entirely different model than the M96 cars.
