Thoughts on new exhaust tips
I want to make some exhaust tips to go on the stock exhaust. They would also fit the Kilne as it has the same outlet points. The goal is 1 appearance, 2 to try and make it so the exhaust does not have the air hose with end off of it sound at full throttle. By diffusing the outlet with 2 pipes it should break it up. The current X50 tips has a 2 1/2 center tube with the divider for the dual openings right across the middle. This probably adds to the tearing sound.
I was looking at a 2 1/2 with a 3" split off the side. I am not home with my car so i cannot mock it up until next week. i might need to jog the 2 1/2 away from the 3" to keep them centered in the bumper opening.
I had a couple of questions about what people thought on the design aesthetics:
1. should i stagger the tip lengths, the 2 1/2 or the 3 longer
2. Should i thicken the tube end so the opening wall thickness is increased or possibly put a lip on the OD
3. How much gap between the tubes
4. 2 1/2 and 3" or other sizes
5. should i put a slight diversion lip or plate inside to deflect more flow into the 3"
Any input appreciated

I like em.
1. I personally don't care for the staggered tips.
2. Thicker end cut would look better, but not rolled
3. Just enough to show some separation, 1/4-1/2" or so. Too close and it loses the dual tip look
4. Those sizes should look good and fit the contour of the exhaust exit
5. If your Kline is 2.5" out...I wouldn't worry about that.

Do it! I love people like you who don’t see what they want so they make it. Great job, keep it up. The exhaust tips we have for our car are kinda meh. The ht2 slash tips, oem oval, oem dual circles. I’d love a set of dual tips like you have

Possibly interested in your stock tips if you are looking to sell to fund some Ti purchases in the future after you make the ss version. I have these and I really like them sometimes but find them a bit ostentatious other times.

What version of AUTOCAD (or similar) are you using?
Can you take the larger of the two and have a less aggressive angle - more like a merge collector? Unless of course you are space restricted. Is there a reason why one is larger than the other?
Neat project.

If you wanna get rid of that air hose sound, you need 3inch pipe everywhere. Also the split the x50 tips makes a lot of noise as the air gets split. Ovals arent as loud with the air as theres no split.

Interesting, I never considered that the x50 split tips would have that much affect on the sound but I suppose it makes some sense. There is a LOT of air flowing past that divider.
